Paul is the Founder of Identity Counselling services and possesses a profound passion for helping First Nations peoples. Paul is a racialized Trauma Informed Registered Clinical Counsellor who brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his work. He holds a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology with honors and additional training in First Nations issues. He has dedicated his career to serving and supporting Indigenous youth, adults, and families in various settings, including community organizations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Paul is fully committed to his vision in providing effective personalized mental health support to First Nations youth, adults and families across Turtle Island.
Paul's passion lies in helping others, and he possesses a natural ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with his clients. He understands the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment that encourages exploration, learning, healing, and empowerment. Building a genuine connection with his clients is a primary focus for Paul when working with them.
As a registered Mental Health provider with the First Nations Health Authority and the British Columbia Crime Victim Assistance Program, Paul has a specific interest in First Nations and justice matters and has worked extensively with individuals and families affected by Indian Residential School, Day School and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. He is deeply committed to addressing the mental health needs of First Nations communities and bringing awareness to the intersection of mental health and personal empowerment.
Paul holds a judgment-free, trauma-informed, culturally aware-safe, affirming, curious space where clients can start exploring and finding their voice, express their feelings and emotions, and start to recognize and challenge destructive beliefs, harmful patterns, and cultivate healing. Paul works through an anti-oppression, non-pathologizing harm-reduction, lens.

She completed a Masters in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC and a provider of mental health services within First Nations communities. Josh is a mental health clinician who champions the well-being of adolescents and adults, with a pronounced emphasis on the First Nations community. Drawing strength and inspiration from his proud Metis heritage, he is committed to addressing the unique mental health challenges faced by Indigenous individuals. Over the past seven years, Josh has dedicatedly immersed himself in therapeutic initiatives tailored for the Indigenous community, understanding their specific nuances and needs
Believing profoundly in the power of trust as the bedrock of therapeutic relationships, Josh places an unparalleled emphasis on cultivating a foundation of mutual trust and respect. An alumnus of the University of Victoria, Josh secured a Master's degree in Social Work, with a specialization in Indigenous contexts.
