Licensed Clinical Counsellor, Psychotherapist, or Psychologist: Focus on Indigenous Mental Health
We are on a very selective lookout for passionate and seasoned Licensed Clinical Counsellors or Registered Social Workers with training in Therapy and Counselling, with a minimum of two years' experience working in the domain of Indigenous mental health, catering to First Nations adolescents, adults and families. Identity Counselling Services, a unique practice specializing on First Nations youth, adult, and family therapy, seeks someone who resonates strongly with our compassionate, genuine, down-to-earth, innovative, and culturally-informed values. Though our main location is in Vancouver, BC, this opportunity is entirely remote for B.C Registered Clinicians.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A heartfelt commitment to assisting First Nations individuals needing support.
- A Doctoral or Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy, or Social Work, and current registration with the relevant college (e.g., BCACC, BCCSW, FNHA), in good standing.
- 2+ Years' experience in dealing with First Nations individuals
- Knowledge and experience in trauma-sensitive and culturally appropriate care.
- Strong appreciation for and understanding of the influence of generational trauma and structural racism across various sectors on potential clients' biopsychosocial health and lived experiences.
- A zeal for First Nations issues and justice.
- Committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
- Independent and self motivated, with a robust understanding of ethics, conduct, and practice standards.
- Extroverted and engaging, with superior social skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings to suit clients' needs, as necessary. EXTRAS:

- Required experience with LGBTQ+ youth and families.
